Stirling Castle
The cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are all within easy reach from Drymen. An abundance of theatres, music venues, museums, galleries and shops can be found in all three cities. There are also many historic attractions nearby which narrate Scotland's rich history; Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, Glasgow Cathedral and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Trail, to name but a few. Throughout the month of August Edinburgh plays host to the world's largest arts festival the Edinburgh Fringe and the world renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a dazzling display of music and dance. There are many other great events held throughout the year between neighbouring cities and towns including; folk, poetry, music, film, comedy and food festivals.

Visit the UK's largest canal restoration project, the Falkirk Wheel which has gained notoriety as an engineering and design wonder. Explore hundreds of hands-on exhibits, live science shows, and interactive wokshops at the Glasgow Science Centre. Experience the magic of its Planetarium and Imax 3D cinema. There is also Edinburgh Zoo, Blair Drummond Safari Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre and Aquarium, close by.
